SVT Nyheter has mapped 111 crossings that the Swedish Transport Administration points out as extra dangerous - and that need urgent action. One of them is the one just south of Mora where a woman died last spring.

Maybe built in 2028

The Swedish Transport Administration's accident investigation has been completed at the site and shows that there are no deficiencies in the level crossing in Fu itself, but it meets the requirements in terms of visibility and is also equipped with a stop sign.

The Swedish Transport Administration has prioritized the work of fixing unattended level crossings. The one in Fu was, according to previous plans, to have been fixed in 2024, but it has been postponed twice.

- Funding for the measure is currently only available in 2028 and where the ambition with the level crossing in Fu is for it to be removed as early as possible, says Thomas Andersson, who is head of action planning at the Swedish Transport Administration.

Drove on the rear end of the train - three months after the fatal accident

After the fatal accident, more incidents have occurred at the level crossing. In the clip, SVT's reporter Sofie Lind tells more about the events - and what was done at the scene in anticipation of the measures.
