Peskov called rings presented to the leaders of the CIS countries as New Year's souvenirs

At the informal summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States in St. Petersburg, the leaders of the CIS countries were presented with rings with the symbols of the Commonwealth.

“It’s just such a New Year’s souvenir, there’s nothing special about it,” Peskov explained. 

Also, a Kremlin spokesman responded negatively to the question of whether Russian President Vladimir Putin would wear this decoration. 

An informal CIS summit in St. Petersburg took place on December 26-27.
