Sunday weather: rain in the north, sun in the south, snow in the mountains

The weather on Sunday will be overcast and rainy in the north, sunny in the south, and snowy in the mountains, according to forecasts from Météo-France.

The disturbance planned for the night of Saturday to Sunday will arrive from the tip of Brittany, and will give in the early hours of the day, rains from Lower Normandy to the Pays de la Loire.

At the front, rains will also affect the regions ranging from the Opal Coast to Upper Normandy, from the Center to Poitou-Charentes.

Further east, the sky will be very cloudy, the humidity will favor the formation of patches of gray from the borders of the North-East to the Massif Central.

Scattered rains

Scattered rains will affect Lorraine, Alsace, Burgundy-Franche-Comté, the north of the Alps.

The instability will continue on the Island of Beauty giving showers, near the coasts, but this chaotic weather will calm down during the afternoon.

The rains will shift slowly towards the east, being located in the afternoon from the Grand-Est to the Alps, the Massif Central, Piedmont and the Pyrenees chain.

It will snow from 900 m on the Vosges, 1,300 on the Massif Central and the north of the Alps, 2,000 on the Pyrenees.

A regime of showers will settle from the Hauts de France towards the Île de France and Burgundy while beautiful clearings will manage to break through from Lower Normandy towards Aquitaine.

Wide clearings will dominate from the PACA region towards Languedoc and Roussillon throughout the day, favored by the Mistral and the Tramontana reaching up to 70 km / h in gusts.

The westerly wind will strengthen on the Atlantic seaboard and the Channel coasts, up to 70 km/h or even 80 on the coastal area.

Minimum temperatures will be between 0 and 5 degrees in the interior of France, between 6 and 10 by the sea. south of the Garonne, from 16 to 18 on the shores of the Mediterranean.
