The Asia-Pacific Africa Women's Economy Summit will be held for the first time at the end of this month to discuss measures to secure a stable food supply with African female leaders.

The conference will be held in Tokyo for four days from the 28th of this month, hosted by a Japanese organization that supports Africa.

We are inviting female leaders such as prime ministers and first wives of 10 countries such as Uganda and Gabon, and coordination is underway to include Japanese parliamentarians.

At the conference, in addition to discussing measures to secure a stable food supply in Africa, there will also be lectures by experts who provide technical guidance on rice cultivation in Africa.

We are also planning to visit a school lunch at an elementary school in Saitama City.

In Africa, securing food has become an issue due to the large number of locusts infested last year, and there are deep-rooted concerns about food crises against the backdrop of the situation in Ukraine. I would like to support the improvement and the construction of a cooperative system among countries.
