Bastrykin instructed to conduct an inspection on the fact of damage to the plates of the "Mound of Friendship" in Latvia

It is noted that the memorial plates of the monument, erected in 1959, were dismantled using heavy equipment at the site under the jurisdiction of Latvia.

“The head of the Investigative Committee instructed the investigators to organize an investigation into this fact, as well as to request the necessary information from the Russian Foreign Ministry,” the Investigative Committee said.

Earlier, the vice-speaker of the Pskov Regional Assembly, Armen Mnatsakanyan, said that on the monument "Mound of Friendship", located on the border of Russia, Belarus and Latvia, memorial plates were damaged in the area controlled by Riga.
