"Emirates Today" monitored the resort of teachers to calling themselves famous names, as a way of advertising for themselves, and showing excellence in the private tutoring market, with the aim of attracting the largest possible number of students.

Among these titles are "Mathematics Legend", "Physics Rocket", "King of History", "Emperor of the Arabic Language", "Doctor of Chemistry", "Professional Biology", "Specialist" and "British in the English Language", while advertising for the lessons spread. While the Abu Dhabi Education Council stressed that private tutoring is an illegal act, Tolba stressed that teachers with titles are the most famous and most expensive in this field.

Saif explained that the titles are not new, as they are known among the students, and some of them do not give private lessons except to the twelfth grade students, due to their intense preoccupation and the increased demand for them.

For his part, Ahmed Al-Amiri, a school agent, attributed private tutoring teachers to taking pseudonyms for the desire to escape the law, which criminalizes the teacher's practice of private lessons, describing the people of nicknames as big "hammers".

He explained that most of them use the phones of their relatives and acquaintances who are far from the teaching profession, to escape punishment, because the law does not criminalize anyone who works in private lessons except for government teachers.

Hussein Yaqoub, an Islamic education teacher, called for the need to criminalize giving private lessons, especially since the practitioners of this activity, who come from outside the profession, do not have sufficient experience and are not familiar with modern teaching methods.

"Emirates Today" obtained samples of some of the advertising messages that students receive on their phones and e-mail, which included the willingness of some teachers to teach more than one subject, and another announcement of their readiness to teach university students, research work, and assignments.

While the funniest announcement was from a person with an English literature diploma who wants to teach, as his announcement was reinforced by revealing that he had experience in the field of security and safety.​

The Ministry of Education had previously confirmed that it had taken several measures to combat private lessons, including the opening of reinforcement classes in government schools, and a circular to educational areas to open reinforcement centers.

And it established a moral charter for the teacher, prohibiting him from private teaching, otherwise he would be considered in violation of the laws and the teacher’s code of honor.

The Abu Dhabi Education Council stressed that private tutoring is an unethical and illegal act, adding that schools are governed by regulations and laws that prevent attempting to profit from giving private lessons.

He added that the council's new contracts prohibit the teacher from giving students private lessons, and require his dismissal if it is proven that he is a private teacher.
