China News Service, March 15th: "In the first grade of elementary school, what is it like to not go to school for the time being and take private lessons throughout the course?"

Recently, the video of "Yang Wei's twin daughters studying at home" has caused heated discussion.

In the video, gymnastics Olympic champion Yang Wei said that his children had three serious illnesses in a row last year. He and his wife Yang Yun, who is also a former gymnast, made a bold decision to let their children receive private tutoring at home.

Yang Wei said that the main purpose of this is to help children take good care of their bodies, learn better, and play better.

It is reported that Yang Yun has developed an exclusive class schedule for the children. Different tutors are arranged for multiple classes every week, and the class location is set in the couple's company.

According to Yang Wei, private lessons have improved children's learning efficiency, and teachers have provided guidance on different learning methods.

"After a few days, I feel much less worried than before." Yang Wei said.

However, after the video was released, it was questioned by the outside world.

Many netizens said that the best education is in schools. This model requires too much financial ability and is not worth publicizing.

In response to the feedback from netizens, Yang Wei released a video again, explaining the reason in detail: The child got sick 11 times a year (3 major illnesses and 8 minor illnesses). He took time off to go home to recuperate, and then chose to hire a personal trainer to make up for his homework.

Yang Wei said that the children fell ill one after another, which made him and his wife exhausted physically and mentally. "They couldn't sleep for four nights, and the whole family was paralyzed."

Regarding the decision to let his children take private lessons, Yang Wei admitted that he was helpless.

"The children need a rest, and my wife needs a rest even more, so I chose to use private tutoring to make up for the children's homework."

Furthermore, he does not recommend that everyone follow this model.

"It is indeed very expensive. When the child recovers, he will return to school."

Regarding the question of whether taking private lessons will make children withdraw from social interaction, Yang Wei said that he will respond in the future.
