The Saudi Minister of Commerce and Minister of Information in charge, Majid Al-Qasabi, revealed - Saturday - that a Turkish delegation will be invited to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within two weeks;

To develop a media cooperation plan and a roadmap for cooperation and exchange of experiences.

This came in an exclusive interview with Anadolu Agency with Al-Qasabi, on the sidelines of the second and final day of the Twelfth Meeting of Information Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, held in Istanbul.

The Saudi minister said that he held a special meeting on Saturday with his counterpart, head of the communications department in the Turkish presidency, Fahrettin Altun, and that they worked on developing a well-defined road map with specific goals on different tracks.

He added that this plan includes the course of economic media discourse, commercial media, marketing media, and the exchange of experiences, and also deals with the possibility of exchanging experiences during the Hajj period, benefiting from the presence of Turkish television stations in the feelings, and their broadcasting of rituals and the feelings of Hajj.

Al-Qasabi stressed that there are great opportunities for cooperation and exchange of experiences, stressing the consensus on setting an action plan and identifying heads of work teams, and said that within two weeks a delegation from Turkey will be invited to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to get acquainted with what the two countries have, to put a road map into effect.

Pivotal relationships and promising opportunities

Al-Qasabi touched on the Turkish-Saudi relations by saying: Saudi Arabia and Turkey have a pivotal and historical relationship, and there are many promising opportunities.

He added that the Kingdom today is experiencing an unprecedented transformation, as there are opportunities in the mining sector, opportunities in the tourism and culture sectors, and in promising giant projects, whether NEOM projects, Red Sea projects, Qiddiya projects, and others, in terms of entertainment, sports, technology, health and education.

He continued: We invite Turkish investors, companies, businessmen and investment funds to the Kingdom to learn about these opportunities.

Al-Qasabi indicated that there will also be communication between Saudi businessmen and their counterparts in Turkey, to market and identify opportunities, and to come up with promising opportunities for both parties.

And on Saturday, Turkey took over from Saudi Arabia the presidency of the twelfth meeting of the information ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which will be held in Istanbul on October 21-22.
