The Ukrainian military has announced that it has withdrawn from its eastern stronghold of Audiiivka and also from surrounding villages, suggesting that the Russian military is intensifying its offensive.

Under these circumstances, President Zelenskiy of Ukraine met with Crown Prince Mohammed of Saudi Arabia to discuss his proposed peace plan.

According to Ukrainian media and other sources, on the 27th, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian military announced that they had withdrawn from two villages, including Cheberne near Audiiivka in eastern Ukraine's Donetsk Oblast.

Russia's Defense Minister Shoigu also stated at a conference on the 27th, ``We have taken control of Chevernet and other areas in the past week.''

After announcing on the 17th of this month that they had taken control of the eastern stronghold of Audi Ivka, the Russian military appears to be moving its troops further west and intensifying its offensive.

Under these circumstances, President Zelenskiy of Ukraine visited Saudi Arabia on the 27th and met with Crown Prince Mohammed.

Ahead of the meeting, President Zelenskiy said on social media that the talks would discuss the peace plan proposed by Ukraine.

In August last year, high-level government officials from Europe, the United States, emerging countries, and other countries held talks regarding a peace plan in Saudi Arabia, and Ukraine is currently continuing to approach countries with the aim of holding a summit-level meeting.

President Zelenskiy also stated that he would like to seek cooperation in negotiating a prisoner exchange with Russia, which has been mediated by Saudi Arabia, stating, ``I am confident that this meeting will also yield results.''
