A few days after the murder of Lola, a 12-year-old schoolgirl in Paris, her family and the inhabitants of the town of Fouquereuil, the city of origin of the victim's father, gathered.

On the spot, the emotion in the face of the horror of the crime remains strong.

"We hope that Lola can rest in peace," says a resident at the microphone of Europe 1.

It is a tribute with restraint and sobriety for little Lola and her family, which took place this Friday in Fouquereuil in the Pas-de-Calais.

Alongside many residents who came to say a last goodbye to the 12-year-old girl, found dead in a trunk last Friday, her two older brothers Jordan and Thibault paid tribute to her one last time.

"You were the sun of our lives, you will be the star of our nights", signed the two young men, under the portrait of Lola.

“We bring our sadness”

It is in front of this portrait that the inhabitants of the village and the surrounding area marched to place a bouquet of flowers, a condolence card or to write a message of support and solidarity on a notebook at their disposal.

"Even if we don't know them, we bring our sadness, our support and being here today, I think it will help the family a little", hopes at the microphone Europe 1 Delphine, accompanied by her little boy.

"We hope that Lola can rest in peace, that's all we ask," she continues.

Political responsibility pointed out

But behind the emotion and sadness, a certain anger quickly emerges in the words of these inhabitants, in the face of the horror and the circumstances of little Lola's ordeal.

"The tributes, the candles, all that is good, but it has to move," warns Julie.

"There will always be crazy people. But, if there had been things done politically, it would not have happened," said the mother, still upset by the tragedy.

After this tribute, the body of little Lola will take the direction of the town of Lilliers, a few kilometers away, where her funeral will take place next Monday.
