- The formation of the government is now entering a more formal phase.

On Thursday, Magdalena Andersson submits her resignation and after that it is reasonable to assume that the speaker will give Ulf Kristersson the task of looking for opportunities to form a new government, says Knutson.

At the 2018 parliamentary election, it took 134 days before a government was formed.

The general average in Sweden – if you look at all elections – is 19 days.

Will the difficult issues that must be resolved between the parties drag out the process, or can Kristersson piece together a new government within the average frame?

Mats Knutson discusses the issue in the clip above.
