Prince William, the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, said: "I will honor the memory of the Queen by helping King Charles III in every way I can."
Prince William said in his statement on the 10th (local time), "I knew this day would come someday, but it seems it will take some time before the reality of life without a grandmother comes into contact."
Prince William is the eldest son of King Charles III of England.
Prince William said: "The Queen has always been by my side, in my happiest moments and in her saddest moments.
"I am grieving the loss of her grandmother," he said. "Her historic reign will be remembered for generations to come, and she feels incredibly grateful for it."
Prince William added, "On behalf of our generation, I thank you for setting the example of service and dignity in public life for generations to come."
"Her grandmother said that sadness is the price of love," she said.
