More than 8 hours of discussions behind closed doors and still a lot of vagueness.

Emmanuel Macron launched this Thursday the National Council for Refoundation in Marcoussis near Paris.

A new body supposed to improve dialogue between the living forces of the country.

The right and left oppositions as well as the CGT union have dried up the meeting.

The forty participants were not completely convinced by the "

 new method

" promised by the Head of State.

With our special correspondent,

Julien Chavanne

He was the most smiling on the way out.

François Bayrou, the pilot of

this CNR

, convinced of having attended an unprecedented exercise: “

The President of the Republic said:

“the objective has been reached”

and I think that it has been exceeded.

Many of those who spoke said that something happened today.

It was repeated several times during the day.

It was truly a very significant day.

I don't think anyone who participated will forget it.

Participants with another vision

To believe that he was not in the same room as the forty guests, much less enthusiastic.

Laurent Berger, the secretary general of the CFDT: “

I come out of it neither by saying that it was useless, nor by saying that it will be the solution to all the problems.

We'll see, it's a process that is underway today.

There are appointments that are fixed.

We'll see what comes of it.

»

The mayor of Nantes, Johanna Rolland, who represents the big cities of France, is also half fig half grape: “

 The feeling is mixed.

We cannot meet in the morning for three hours and tell us:

"we are debating the future of the country"

and then find the ready-made PowerPoints, prepared before the CNR, as if the discussion had not existed.

There was a fairly successful aerobatic exercise in conclusion.

Now, I expect concrete action.

»

Nothing concrete at the exit, apart from a new appointment by December.

And local meetings in the coming weeks.

The CNR revolution is still very vague.
