- Since we are still starting over, this is no longer about winning to have our application from 2018 tried, but only about a fight for reasonable and efficient permit processes where the courts' application is a decisive function, says Niklas Johansson, director of communications and climate at LKAB in a press release.

LKAB expects that it will take at least a year before the new application can be submitted.

- The reason why we choose to appeal, even though we are starting over, is that the Supreme Court has to find out how the review system should work going forward.

We need to reverse the trend towards increased bureaucratization and literal interpretation that we have seen in recent years if we are to have an efficient, clear and reasonable environmental assessment process that is needed for us in Sweden to meet our climate change ambitions, says Niklas Johansson.
