The largest number of people infected with monkeypox is recorded in Quebec - 98. Nine cases of the disease are known in Ontario, four in Alberta, and one more was recorded in British Columbia.
On June 8, World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said at a briefing that the total number of people infected with monkeypox in the current outbreak has exceeded 1,000.
