The Liberal Democratic Party and the Komeito Party have agreed to provide a benefit equivalent to 100,000 yen to those under the age of 18 over support measures for those affected by the new coronavirus.

On the other hand, regarding the income limit of 9.6 million yen per year required by the Liberal Democratic Party, there are opinions within the Komeito Party that it is expected to be adjusted.

The Liberal Democratic Party and the Komeito Party will hold discussions at the secretary-general level until the 9th over support measures for those affected by the new corona, and will spend 50,000 yen in cash and child-rearing-related expenses for those under the age of 18. We have agreed to provide a total of 100,000 yen worth of benefits, which is equivalent to 50,000 yen for coupons that are limited in usage.

However, while the Liberal Democratic Party is demanding an income limit of 9.6 million yen per year, the Komeito is cautious and has not come to terms with it.

Under these circumstances, there are opinions within the Komeito that "even if income restrictions are set, about 90% of households with children under the age of 18 can be covered, and it is not a good idea to continue to oppose them."

In addition, in the discussions so far, as support for people in need of living, in order to provide 100,000 yen in cash per household to households exempt from residence tax and to promote the spread of My Number Card. We agree by giving points according to the stage such as obtaining a card or starting to use it as a health insurance card.

The final adjustment is being made so that the amount of points to be awarded will be up to 20,000 yen.

The Liberal Democratic Party is expected to make final adjustments on the 10th, hoping to reach a final agreement with the Komeito, given that the government plans to put together new economic measures on the 19th next week.
