China News Service, June 17th. On June 16, the Macao Special Administrative Region Government issued a communiqué announcing that the Macao Economic and Cultural Office in Taiwan will temporarily suspend operations on June 19.

The DPP authorities made rash comments.

In response to this, Ma Xiaoguang, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, said in response to reporters on the 17th that we support the Macao SAR government in handling Taiwan-related affairs in accordance with the Basic Law and the central government’s basic principles and policies for handling Macao’s Taiwan-related issues.

The SAR government has already explained the reasons for the suspension of the Macau office in Taiwan.

The DPP authorities are well aware of this, and any distortions and excuses are pale and weak.
