Rostock (dpa / mv) - 304 new corona infections were reported in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania on Thursday.
That was 186 less than a week ago, as the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (Lagus) announced (as of 5:11 p.m.).
At the same time, ten more deaths in connection with a corona infection were registered on Thursday.
The total number of corona deaths since the pandemic began a good year ago is now 995.
The nationwide seven-day incidence fell again.
The value decreased by 7.5 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants to 123.7.
In addition to the district of Vorpommern-Rügen, where the value was 90.8, the Hanseatic City of Rostock and the district of Rostock also again recorded values below the important threshold of 100 (93.2 and 93.6, respectively).
The value was highest in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district at 210.1, which is partly due to a local outbreak in a company in Lübenheen.
The second highest was in Western Pomerania-Greifswald (137.1), followed by the state capital Schwerin (127.5), the district of Mecklenburg Lake District (127.1) and Northwest Mecklenburg (108.7).

In the meantime, around 27.5 percent of the residents in the northeast have their first peak against Covid-19, as the state office announced.
That is third place in the comparison of the federal states after Saarland and Bremen.
The national average is 25.9 percent.
The total number of corona infections detected so far in the northeast is 39,958. About 34,479 people are considered to have recovered.
The number of corona patients treated in clinics was 331, six fewer than the day before.
The number of corona patients in intensive care units rose by two to 92.
