Potsdam (dpa / bb) - The people in Brandenburg have to be prepared for further restrictions on public life from Maundy Thursday until after Easter.

From April 1 to April 6, following the amendment of the containment ordinance, in view of the increasing number of corona infections, a nightly exit restriction from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. will apply.

The cabinet decided on Tuesday and thus added a curfew to the existing emergency brake in a district or an independent city.

Private gatherings are to be further restricted.

The condition is a regional seven-day incidence of 100 or more for three days in a row.

This applies to almost all rural districts and independent cities.

Only the districts of Uckermark and Dahme-Spreewald were below the value of 100 infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days on Wednesday.

The federal government and the federal states have agreed an emergency brake - nationally or regionally - if the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in a week for three days in a row in rural districts or urban districts is over 100.

Then the recent easing will be reversed.

Brandenburg does not have a nationwide but a regional emergency brake.

The emergency brake is loosened somewhat in Brandenburg over Easter: Regardless of the seven-day incidence, private meetings with members of two households are allowed, but a maximum of five people in total are allowed to meet.

Children up to 14 years of age are exempt from this.

Visits to nursing homes are also possible without limitation if at least 75 percent of the residents have received the two necessary vaccinations for at least two weeks.

In addition, the employees must be vaccinated, and the facility must not currently have a corona outbreak.
