The Washington Post newspaper writes about this with reference to sources and documents.

According to the newspaper, the authorities of at least 13 states have offered to provide part of their stocks of vaccines to Pfizer and Moderna for vaccinations to US diplomats.

It is noted that the State Department requested from the US Department of Health 315 thousand doses of American-made vaccines for its employees, but received only 23% of this number.

The publication notes that the Russian vaccine has not yet been approved by the American regulator, and the State Department does not recommend its employees to be vaccinated with it.

In this case, the decision remains with the US citizen himself.

It was previously reported that more than 318,240 people have been fully vaccinated in New York since the start of the coronavirus vaccination campaign.
