The press service of the court reported this to TASS.
“Alexey Vladimirovich Zmanovsky was found guilty of committing crimes under Part 1 of Art.
105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (murder), as well as under two episodes of Art.
158 of the Criminal Code of Russia (theft),” the statement notes.
The killer was also fined 80 thousand rubles.
According to investigators, in the spring of 2023, Zmanovsky strangled 47-year-old Botikov with a belt during an argument and fled.
Soon the criminal was detained.
The murder of Andrei Botikov, a participant in the development of the Sputnik V vaccine, became known on March 3, 2023.
