Mainz (dpa / lrs) - The health authorities in Rhineland-Palatinate recorded 365 new corona infections on Saturday.
A total of 43 010 laboratory-confirmed infections (as of 11.10 a.m.) have been registered since the pandemic began nine months ago, according to the Ministry of Health.
The number of deaths climbed by 7 to 515 within one day. According to the authority, 16,783 people are currently infected with the Sars-CoV-2 virus.
25,712 are considered recovered.
The highest incidence, i.e. the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days, was on Saturday in Speyer with 274.9 - on Friday the value was 328.3.
The incidence is lowest in Trier at 54.7.
Nationwide, the 7-day incidence was 116.5.
