In the summer, the State Duma adopted a similar law on the deferral of payments on debts for pensioners and businesses; now it is proposed to extend it due to the continuing difficult epidemiological situation.

"The bill provides for the extension of the Federal Law No. 215-FZ in respect of executive documents submitted for compulsory execution before May 1, 2021," the explanatory note says.

At the same time, until July 1, it is planned to extend the period in which the bailiff-executor does not apply compulsory enforcement measures related to the inspection of movable property, the imposition of arrest on it, as well as its seizure and transfer, against the debtors-citizens.

According to the authors, the implementation of the initiative "will preserve the protection of citizens and organizations affected by the consequences of the spread of the new coronavirus infection, and minimize its negative consequences."

Earlier, the Duma proposed to hold a credit amnesty.
