Al-Jallaf stressed that the Dubai Police General Command does not ever tolerate anyone who publishes offensive clips on social media, because of their prejudice to public morals, values, customs and authentic traditions, stressing that the Federal Penal Code No. 3 of 1987 stipulates in its Article No. 358 that “Whoever publicly commits an indecent and indecent act shall be punished by imprisonment for a period of no less than six months.”
He added that the person who published the video clip committed an act against public morals, which is a crime punishable by Decree of the Law on Combating Information Technology Crimes No. 5 of 2012 in its Article No. 24 by temporary imprisonment and a fine of not less than 500 thousand dirhams and not exceeding one million dirhams for everyone who established Or manage or supervise a website, or publish information on an information network or an information technology means that may prejudice public morals.
Al-Jalaf confirmed that, in coordination with the Dubai Economic Department, Dubai Municipality, and the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, the cafe was violated and closed.
