As a result, business income increased by 5.1 billion yen from the previous fiscal year to 738.4 billion yen. Of this, reception fee revenue was ¥711.5 billion, which was ¥600 million less than in the previous fiscal year due to measures such as implementing measures for returning to viewers.
Business expenditures increased by 10.2 billion yen from the previous year to 716.3 billion yen due to the reporting of the House of Councilors election and the strengthening of the Internet service infrastructure.
As a result, the business balance difference, which is income minus expenditure, was 22 billion yen, an improvement of 25 billion yen from the budget that was expected to be a deficit of 3 billion yen.
The business balance difference of 22 billion yen will be carried over as a financial source for financial stability.
The financial results for the first year of NHK Reiwa are submitted to the National Assembly after being examined by the Accounting Auditor.
