It is noted that the Ministry of Industry and Trade together with representatives of retail chains developed guidelines for organizing compliance with the mask regime in stores.

Relevant recommendations were sent to the regions, Rospotrebnadzor, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and the Russian Guard.

Yevtukhov said that “the recommendations describe in detail typical cases - how to react if the buyer tries to enter the store without a mask or if the buyer removes it in the trading floor itself”.

He noted that the store “is entitled and obliged not to release the goods to the violator, that is, not to serve it at the checkout”.

The deputy minister explained that “in the event of a visitor’s disagreement to comply with such requirements, the store’s administration, without conflict with the violator, has the right to call the representatives of the internal affairs bodies to stop the violation.”

Wearing a mask and gloves for the prevention of coronavirus infection COVID-19 has become mandatory in Moscow since May 12. In the capital, the fine for the absence of a mask and gloves in public transport is 5 thousand rubles, and at enterprises - 4 thousand rubles.

In the Moscow region, a mask regime also began to operate.
