Japanese government has decided to lift an emergency in 39 out of 47 local governments nationwide.

The emergency was canceled almost a month after it expanded to the whole country on the 16th of last month, starting with 7 large areas around the country on the 7th of last month.

[Abe / Japan Prime Minister: We judged that all 39 prefectures have reached the level that can prevent the spread of infection.] In the

past week, less than 0.5 per 100,000 people were among the criteria for release, but more infected than Tokyo. And Osaka, six local governments and standards were met, but Chiba and Hyogo prefectures, close to the big cities, were decided to be maintained.

When the emergency is lifted, the legal grounds for the head of a local government to go out or to refrain from selling will disappear, preventing commuting, commuting to school, and resuming business.

Accordingly, the Japanese government has announced that it will promptly reassign to an emergency area if there is a sign of re-proliferation.

During the press conference, Prime Minister Abe referred to the situation in Korea and urged caution against re-proliferation.

Japan's number of new confirmers, which remained below 100 since the last 10 days, rose to 100 again in five days.

To date, there have been over 1,900 cumulative deaths in Japan, including passengers on cruise ships, and 726 deaths.
