On the day of the general election on April 15, the Central Election Commission said that the Democratic Party won over 7.77 million votes and the United Party over 7.82 million votes nationwide.

The United Party won more votes due to the difference of over 70,000 votes.

However, prior to this vote, the two-day pre-voting was different.

As a result of the national pre-voting nationwide, the Democratic Party won over 6.52 million votes and the United Party won over 4.40 million votes.

The Democratic Party won over 2.48 million more votes.

In the end, the total number of votes in the districts was 14.34 million votes for democracy and 11.91 million votes for integration.

By metropolitan city, Democrats in Gangwon, Chungbuk, and Chungnam overturned the high-profile pre-voting in this vote and outpaced the United Party in the total number of district votes.

In the case of Seoul and Gyeonggi, the Democratic Party was slightly ahead of the vote with a difference of 40,000 votes and 220,000 votes, respectively. In the pre-voting, the gap widened further to more than 610,000 votes and 670,000 votes respectively.

Daegu, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam were the only metropolitan cities that the United Party won the Democratic Party in the pre-voting.
