  The Democratic Progressive Party's non-district "legislator" You Xikun failed to seek re-election as the head of the agency. He immediately issued a statement saying that he would resign as a "legislator" on February 2 due to personal plans. According to the Democratic Progressive Party's non-district "legislator" list, this seat will be filled by Wang Zhengxu, chairman of the Taiwan Cancer Hope Foundation, who is ranked 13th.

  In this competition for the leadership of Taiwan's legislative body, the three major parties have sent their own candidates to compete.
