The imam of El Vendrell (Tarragona) called this Friday, to the prayer from the street with a megaphone to announce the start of Ramadan on April 24 and some fifty faithful gathered on the street, skipping the obligatory confinement .
As reported by El Vendrell radio television, the Youth and Sports Association of Catalonia of this population had informed the city council that the call to prayer to the Muslim community was planned in a different place from the mosque, which is closed due to confinement.
