On April 12, local time, the British Prime Minister Johnson was discharged from the hospital and thanked the medical staff by posting a video.

The report said that Johnson had talked with Foreign Minister Rab, the acting prime minister, last weekend. The spokesman said, "The Prime Minister is focusing on rehabilitation and will not resume work at this time."

On March 27, Johnson performed a new coronavirus test after showing symptoms including fever and cough, and the result was positive. After a few days of isolation at home, his symptoms did not alleviate. He was hospitalized on April 5 and then became worse on the evening of the 6th. He was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

On the evening of the 9th, Johnson had left the ICU due to the remission. On the 12th, the British Prime Minister's Office said that Johnson had been discharged. Soon after, Johnson thanked the medical staff on social media, saying "They saved my life."
