The spokesperson of the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management in Qatar, Lulwa Al-Khater, said today, Thursday, that 8 new cases of Corona virus were recorded, two of which are related to citizens returning from Italy and Britain, and the rest to migrant workers, bringing the total number to 460 cases.

Lulwa Al-Khater reported that six new cases of recovery were registered, bringing the total number of people recovering to 10.

And considered that the coming period will be "critical" in the framework of the measures taken to confront the emerging Corona virus.

The spokeswoman confirmed that most of those infected with the virus inside Qatar are in stable condition, and that only 6 cases in intensive care out of the total number that reached 460 cases.

She called on all residents (citizens and residents) not to leave the houses except for necessity, reduce gatherings, not tolerate the epidemic and keep an appropriate distance when dealing.

She added that the Ministry of Public Health approves the home quarantine as a second option for families coming from abroad, with the signing of the pledge and after passing the initial examination.

The number of reported cases of coronavirus in the world as of Thursday evening reached 241,000 people in 177 countries and territories, including more than 9900 deaths, most of them in China, Italy, Iran, Spain, South Korea, Germany, France and the United States.

The worldwide spread of the virus has forced many countries to close their borders, suspend flights, cancel many events, and prevent gatherings, including Friday and Friday prayers.
