In downtown Jerusalem, reactions are cautious regarding a possible truce in Gaza.
Udi Stanberg, accompanied by his wife and baby, especially hopes for the release of the hostages still in the hands of Hamas.

We should continue this war for our own security,
” he said.
But the most important thing is the release of the hostages.
Afterwards, we have to wait and see, because we cannot trust a terrorist organization.

Tali Klagesbrun is a teacher, from the left.
She doesn't trust the Israeli government.
“
I’m not optimistic, I don’t think the government really wants the hostages back,”
she confides.
Because if they are released, the war will have to end.
And if the war ends, then Netanyahu will no longer be able to maintain his coalition.
He tries to make the situation last as long as possible, to stay in power as long as possible.
