It looks darker for the aviation industry. Norwegian announced today that the company risks bankruptcy. At SAS they have asked their employees to agree on salary reductions, around 5,000 employees are laid off and 4000 flights were canceled just during Thursday.

A number of departures were canceled at airports around Sweden.

During Friday, representatives of Sweden's airports, aviation authorities and airlines met with Minister of Infrastructure Tomas Eneroth (S).

- It's a social crisis, says SAS CEO Richard Gustafson as he rushes past the journalists.

Tomas Eneroth (S) says that the government is working on proposals to save the industry.

- We have preparedness to act and are preparing a number of proposals to return soon, he says.
