In the Luxor region of Egypt, where a pile of confirmed passengers from a cruise ship sailing the Nile River, 11 Korean tourists and guides were temporarily quarantined.

This is because the Egyptian government has launched a corona 19 test for tourists staying in Luxor area cruise ships and hotels.

Korean tourists were quarantined after the inspection, canceled their local itinerary and moved straight to the airport.

About 10 Korean tourists at other hotels in Luxor were also released from containment after they were examined by Corona19.

A cruise ship in Luxor has been confirmed by 45 people, including crew members and tourists, and a number of cases have been reported in the country after returning to Luxor.

Luxor is a world-renowned tourist destination with ancient ruins, but the Egyptian government is reportedly considering full-scale suspension of tourism to the Luxor region.
