Today, Saturday, Egyptian Minister of Health, Hala Zayed, announced that there are 33 confirmed cases of the new Corona virus after analyzing the 171 people who were on board the Nile cruise ship that was revealed yesterday.

The Minister of Health said that the number of cases of infection with the Coronavirus on the cruise ship in the Nile River has increased from 12 cases announced yesterday to 45.

The Minister added, on the sidelines of a press conference, that the number of injured foreigners has risen to 19, and the rest are Egyptians, explaining that there are 11 confirmed negative cases after the re-analysis, while the injured are being transferred to Al-Nujaila Hospital in Matruh to isolate them.

The Minister of Health said that the results of the analysis also showed that 11 of the 12 people who had been infected with the virus were not infected yesterday, all of whom did not show symptoms and would be transferred to quarantine, according to Al-Ahram Gate.

The Minister indicated that health authorities have tightened procedures for airports and tourist attractions since the virus was announced.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly stressed that the Egyptian state will not hesitate to take any measures to prevent the spread of the disease and the transition to affect new citizens.

Madbouly added, at a press conference at the cabinet headquarters, on Saturday evening, that the source of the focus of the disease that countries announced that their citizens had been injured after their return from Egypt was Nile boats, etc. There were no foci, and there were no injuries except for three people, who are Chinese and Canadian And the Egyptian returning from abroad.

He stressed that any threat, even if a small percentage, will be dealt with to protect the Egyptians, and that Egypt is one of the first countries in the world to move to take medical measures and quarantine since the epidemic was announced in China, pointing to the existence of a committee headed by the Prime Minister to follow the preventive measures and cases that are announced.
