A passenger from Canada flying to Jamaica replied to the lie of a passenger who was infected with the new coronavirus.

According to AFP, a WestJet aircraft from Toronto, Canada, to Montego Bay, Jamaica, returned to Toronto within two hours of takeoff.

The airline explained that it was because of a "busy passenger" who made "unfounded claims about coronaviruses."

Reportedly, about half of the scheduled flight time for this aircraft, which carried 243 people, a man suddenly woke up and took a selfie, saying he was infected with the new coronavirus.

The crew gave the passenger a mask and gloves, quarantined him behind the plane, and returned to Toronto.

After arriving in Toronto, the man found no abnormalities and was immediately arrested by the police.

Passenger Julie-Ann Brodererick, who was on the plane, told local CBC that he thought it was a funny joke, and it was weird. "We lost a vacation day.

Passengers attempting to return from Montego Bay to Canada were stuck when the plane did not arrive in Jamaica.

Passengers returning to Toronto flew to Jamaica on another flight scheduled for the next morning.

To date, four new coronaviruses have been confirmed, and there are no confirmed cases in Jamaica, Latin America and the Caribbean.
