Following their exhibition in the streets of Lille as part of Eldorado, 5th thematic edition of lille3000, the Alebrijès & Mexicraneos arrive in La Villette. Drawn from folk art, the Mexicraneos are skulls painted and decorated by Mexican artisans and artists for El Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead), the most important celebration of the year that celebrates the deceased. These were presented during the last parade in Mexico City in November 2018.

Sound Kitchen is a series of workshops which offers young and old alike a unique experience: discover in 4 stages the musical universe of a composer today and his production underwear! This season, it was Jonathan Pontier who, from October to January, immersed the public in his “sound kitchen” with the complicity of the musicians of the Ensemble intercontemporain. Over the course of the meetings, halfway between the workshop and the concert, each spectator was invited to come and have their own musical experience and participate, with the artists, in the development of a piece for instruments and tape sound. For this final restitution concert, everyone comes to the table to discover this participative work and a whole new world of musical tastes!
