“The Medvezhyegorsk interdistrict investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Karelia opened a criminal case on the fact of death in a fire, on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of Russia (causing death by negligence to two or more persons), ”the regional head office of the IC of Russia said in a statement.
According to investigators, the fire occurred in the evening on January 4.
When extinguishing in one of the apartments, the bodies of four men were found.
According to the preliminary version, the cause of the fire could be careless handling of fire.
Previously, three died in a fire in a house in the Penza region.
