“A criminal case has been instituted on the fact of the death of a three-year-old child on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of Russia (causing death by negligence), ”the press release said.

According to preliminary data, on the evening of January 5, the boy was briefly left unattended to play in his room, and after a while he "was found in bed by his mother with no signs of life."

Currently, investigators seize the necessary medical documentation and organize a forensic medical examination.
