Emmanuel Macron did not convince during his wishes to the French on December 31, but support for the strike movement against the pension reform weakened (-5), according to an Odoxa poll released on Friday.

Only 21% of those questioned found the head of state convincing, compared to 76% of a contrary opinion. And for only 27%, against 70%, he showed that he was "ready to find a solution" to the ongoing conflict.

Finally, if 41% believe that he sought "to appease the French", 57% are of the opposite opinion, according to this survey with Dentsu consulting for Le Figaro and France Info.

Emmanuel Macron had reaffirmed Tuesday his determination to "carry out pension reform", while urging the government to "find a quick compromise".

Nearly a month after the start of the mobilization, three out of four French people (75%, -2) believe that the government must abandon its reform project (29%) or abandon "its idea of ​​a pivotal age of 64 years "(46%). For less than a quarter (24%, +4), he must keep his current project in full.

Support for the strike movement is weakening, with another 61% of those questioned who consider it justified (-5 points compared to December 19), against 39% (+5) of the opposite opinion.

The French respondents also have a negative opinion of all the protagonists of the conflict.

Union side, the CFDT gathers 43% of "good opinions", against 56% of bad, before the CGT (35% of favorable opinions, against 63%) and "the railway workers / employees of SNCF and RATP in their together "(34%, versus 65%).

The executive is also unpopular: Prime Minister Edouard Philippe receives only 32% of good opinions (against 67%) and Emmanuel Macron 31% of positive opinions (against 68%).

Survey carried out online on January 2 and 3 among 1,005 people aged 18 and over, using the quota method. Margin of error from 1.4 to 3.1 points.
