Tunisia started the qualifiers for the next African Cup with Libya (4-1). The Khazri-Mskani-Khaoui trio made the Knights of the Mediterranean dizzy.

This little derby from the Mediterranean has kept all its promises. It was a nice meeting to follow, at least for the many Tunisian fans who feasted with goals and the show. For the Libyans, it was more complicated even if they never gave up to thwart the plans of the Carthage Eagles. But it must be said that the gap was too great, in any case, technical, because Tunisia has in its midst a trio of artists (Khazri, Msakni, and Khaoui) who offered a nice recital on the lawn Radès .

Lined with Khaoui and Khazri

In good captain Youssef Msakni showed the way forward by first offering the first big opportunity on a recovery of the head well out by the goalkeeper (30th). Then, the player of Al Duhail caused the penalty that will launch this meeting. Khazri executes the sentence, Nashnoush pushes back, but the player of Saint-Etienne is faster than the Libyan defenders and resumes closely to open the score in two stages (34th).

Seven minutes later, Msakni (again) managed a nice control over a long opening, set the defense, and set off for Khaoui who doubled the setting of a flat foot. Libya seems outdated, but returns in the game thanks to Hamdou Elnouni who ideally takes a free kick just before half-time (45 + 1).

In the resumption, the men of Faouzi Benzarti have a big opportunity to return to the score after a ball of the Tunisian defense, but it is the Eagles who will fly away definitely in this meeting. On a counter, Khaoui picks up the Libyan defense and goes to beat Mohamed Nashnoush for the third time of the evening (52). The Calvary of the Libyan goalkeeper is not over since Wahbi Khazri will also offer a double on a Badri service to close the demonstration of the Eagles.

This is a good start for the semi-finalists of the 2019 CAN who will go next Tuesday on the lawn of Equatorial Guinea.
