A Yemeni child died and another citizen was injured when an explosive device and a mine, which had been planted by Houthi coup militias, were planted in Taiz province, southwest of Yemen.

Local sources and witnesses said that the child Ahmed Mounir Ahmed Qassem, was killed while playing with an unknown object (explosive device), in the isolation of Daya in the area of ​​al-Musta in the Directorate of Sulu south of Taiz, and wounded Mansour Abdullah Abdo, and amputated one of his feet, as a result of a landmine Al-Shaqab area, Saber Al-Moadam district, southeast of Taiz province. Taiz governorate ranks first in the list of people killed and injured by mines and improvised explosive devices, which were planted by militias in earlier times on the outskirts of the city and districts of the province.

In addition, the first team carried out the project «pore» the process of destruction and detonation of 179 mines and unexploded shells and an explosive device in the district of Serwah, Marib province.

Captain Hameed Belhut, the first team leader in the pore project, confirmed that the destruction included 150 unexploded ordnance, 25 anti-tank mines and four explosive devices.

He added that the shells and mines that were destroyed, were taken in the areas of Zour, Kovel and Tabab Masaria, which is the Directorate of Serwah.

With this operation, the Pore Project has carried out 17 operations to destroy and detonate mines and unexploded ordnance in Marib governorate.
