“On the territory of the African continent, the first joint exercise of the Air Defense Forces (Air Defense)“ Arrow of Friendship - 2019 ”started,” the press service of the Southern Military District said in a statement.
It is noted that more than 100 Russian troops will take part in the exercises.
It is clarified that one of the objectives of the exercises is the exchange of experience between the military of Russia and Egypt.
The Friendship Arrow 2019 exercises will last until November 7th.
On October 22, it was reported that servicemen of the formations and units of the military air defense of the Southern Military District, deployed in the Crimea, Volgograd Region, Krasnodar Territory and North Ossetia, will take part for the first time in the exercises of Russia and Egypt “Friendship Arrow - 2019”.
