Tusk recommends EU leaders agree to defer brexitis

“Following the decision of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to suspend the ratification of the withdrawal agreement and to avoid brexit without a deal, I will recommend 27 EU countries to accept the UK’s request for deferment,” he said.

Following PM @ BorisJohnson's decision to pause the process of ratification of the Withdrawal Agreement, and in order to avoid a no-deal #Brexit, I will recommend the EU27 accept the UK request for an extension. For this I will propose a written procedure.

Earlier it became known that Johnson will “suspend” parliament’s consideration of the bill on Britain’s withdrawal from the European Union and will consult with the EU regarding the extension of the brexit process.
