The man left his home in Ärla outside Eskilstuna at 08.20 on Thursday morning. He then took the car to go and shop.
Since then, he has not been seen - and during the evening the police started a search.
They are now asking for the public's help to catch him. If anyone has seen him, they are asked to call 114 14.
The man was traveling in a red Volkswagen Polo. He is described to be 170-175 cm long with gray long and thin hair. When he left home, he was dressed in a white t-shirt, black work trousers and foppa slippers.
