- Compared to other businesses, the proportion of deliberate fires in schools is unusually large, says Anders Lundberg, fire engineer at MSB to the News Agency Siren.
In the last ten years, a total of 88 school fires have occurred in Eskilstuna, of which a total of 51 were created. Nyköping was the place in the county where there were the second most established school fires, 40 in total.
- Every fire is a risk, even though most fires are small. Since many students and staff are affected, the fire incidents also pose a great stress on society at large, says Anders Lundberg to Siren.
Gothenburg had 470 fires in the last ten years, which is the most in the entire country.
