“According to the information of the regional dispatching services of forestry, over the past day, 31 forest fires have been eliminated in an area of 217 hectares,” the message says.
It is noted that on August 4, 174 forest fires on an area of about 132 thousand hectares are in effect in Russia. In the Avialezaskhere, it was indicated that work was under way to actively extinguish them. Most of the hotbeds of fire were recorded in the Irkutsk region. 63 fires remain active there on a total area of more than 95 thousand hectares.
