“According to the regional forestry dispatch services, over the past day on August 5, 67 forest fires on an area of 4,664 hectares have been eliminated in Russia,” the agency said.
It is noted that at 0:00 on August 6 in the territory of Russia there were 161 forest fires.
Earlier, the Aviation Protection gave a forecast for forest fires in August.
URA.RU also reported that since the beginning of the fire hazard in 2019, 104 outbreaks of natural fires have been registered in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District.
