Former World No.1 Andy Murray made a winning comeback at the Queen's ATP Herbal Tournament twice, six months after having a hip surgery.

The Scotsman, associated with the Spaniard Feliciano Lopez, won the first round of the London tournament against the Colombian pair of Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah in two sets 7-6 (7/5), 6-3.

The darling of the British public, winner of three Grand Slam singles tournaments, made its comeback on a crowded central court. Murray sealed the first run 7-6 (7/5) with an emphatic forehand.

In the second run, the 32-year-old Scotsman fought, showing himself everywhere on the field, to the delight of the public.

"It was great, I had a lot of fun," Murray told the BBC radio.

"I was a bit slow at first, but after that it was better as the game progressed, so I enjoyed being able to play tennis again," he added.

"I felt pretty relaxed today, and after that, more and more nervous, but that's what you want when you play tennis," said Murray.
